#044: The Paradox of Progress

Episode 44 of the Possibility Podcast with Mel Schwartz features Mel exploring what we mean by the word “progress.” He shares that, in many circumstances,  the concept of progress is taken at face value, and may well be misguided.
Mel asks, “What are we hoping to progress toward, and to what end?”
The paradox he highlights is that what we often aspire to might not truly serve us.
Rather, Mel introduces what sustainable growth might look like in terms of personal progress. Mel submits that personal progress requires the deeper values of harmony and authenticity, rather than externally driven goals, for a meaningful result.
